Timothy M. Burandt, D.O., FACOS

Dr. Burandt graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After earning his D.O. degree, Dr. Burandt completed five years of surgery residency at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, Michigan and has been practicing in Northern Michigan since 1987. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and a Board Certified General Surgeon by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, American Hernia Society and Michigan Osteopathic Association. Dr. Burandt is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and teaches medical students from MSUCOM. Dr. Burandt is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, the national certifying body for general surgery.

Dr. Burandt has been on the active staff of Cheboygan Memorial Hospital for over 20 years, and has been elected to leadership positions on the Board of Trustees and Medical Staff, including 3 terms as its President.

Dr. Burandt's areas of professional interest include breast disorders, gallbladder, colon and hernia surgery, endoscopy of the colon and stomach.
